What is Dental SJT Practice?
A practice site for the Situational Judgement Test used in UK Dental Foundation Training (DFT) recruitment. You sit timed papers on screens modelled on the official test, then see your score, how you compare with other candidates, and an explanation for every question.
Can I try it before I pay?
Yes. Every new account gets one free 10-question sample, timed like the real thing. After it you can see your score and look through the answers once.
What is a paper, and what does a plan include?
A full DFT paper has 56 questions: 37 ranking questions and 19 choose-three questions, in 105 minutes. Beginner includes 1 paper, Intermediate 3 and Expert 5. Each paper is built fresh for you, balanced across question types and difficulty.
Will I see the same question twice?
Not until you have worked through the whole question bank.
Do my papers expire?
No. Papers you buy stay on your account until you use them.
Is extra time available?
Yes. If you have been approved for 25% extra time (Special Circumstances), you can turn it on for any paper on the "Before you start" screen. Once the paper starts, the time allowed is fixed.
When can I see the answers and explanations?
After each paper you get your score and a breakdown by domain straight away. You then get one chance to study the expert explanation for every question.
Can I use a coupon code?
Yes. If you have a code, enter it in the "Add promotion code" box on the payment page. One code per purchase.
What is your refund policy?
You can ask for a full refund by email within 14 days of buying, as long as you have not started any paper from that purchase. Please read the refund section of our terms for the details.
Is there DCT practice?
Not yet. DCT papers are coming soon. Leave your email on the DCT page and we will tell you when they are ready.
Are you part of the official test?
No. We are an independent practice provider. Our screens follow the layout and behaviour of the official sample test, but we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by NHS England, and every question is our own.
